Patient Notice: 30th March 2020
In order to protect our patients, staff and to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 the dental services we can provide is now very limited. Below is the most recent advice from the British Dental
Association and NHS England updated Covid-19 advice:
“All routine, non-urgent dental care should be stopped and deferred until otherwise advised. All practices should establish (independently or by collaboration with others) a remote urgent care service, providing telephone triage for their patients with urgent needs during usual working hours, and whenever possible treating with advice, analgesia and antimicrobial means where appropriate. If the patient’s condition cannot be managed by these means, then they will need to be referred to their local urgent dental care system.”
What this means for our patients, until further notice;
We are cancelling all upcoming dental appointments for the foreseeable and will contact you once the restrictions have been lifted to reschedule.
The surgery is now closed and Dr Downey will only be available by phone to discuss and offer advice regarding dental emergency treatment. 01306 887764
The local urgent dental centres have not yet been set up - as soon as we are informed that they are up and running, we will send another email with the relevant details.
In these very difficult time we are available to listen and support all our patients and particularly to our patients living alone and self-isolating and may well have times of loneliness. We therefore remain available at the end of the phone, should you just need to have a friendly chat.
In the meantime please stay safe and we hope to see you all again in the foreseeable.
Kindest regards from Dr Downey & the Dental Team
Dr J. Downey BDS
